Situation prior aquisition:
The Hollywood Dinner Restaurant opened its doors in 1999, alongside the Cine Royal, and quickly became known for its classic 1950s American diner aesthetic and delicious Italian cuisine. On weekends, the Hollywood Diner also became known as a popular bar for guests aged 20 to 35. For the first decade of its existence, the restaurant thrived, with a steady visitor flow. However, a change in management and lack of innovation led to a decline in business over the next ten years.

Analysis:
The results of our location analysis have shown that there is still a lot of untapped potential within the catchment area, with a demographic between 18 to 60 years old willing to spend money on dining out. However, the management of the establishment lacked the necessary passion to adapt to time and generational target audience changes which has been reflected in the experiences of the guests, resulting in a decline in customer satisfaction. A menu and restaurant concept no longer in line with current trends and expectations, as well an excess supply of Italian restaurants in the area contributed to the decrease in the number of guests.
The restaurant’s location next to the cinema presents an opportunity to create an attractive lounge area where cinema-goers can relax and unwind after their movie.
Solution:
We took matters in our own hands, aquired the establishment and shut it down for a complete overhaul of the restaurant: a brand new concept, including a new interior design and name, resulting in the birth of „Das Moebius“!
Das Moebius features a modern industrial look that can be transformed using intelligent smart home technology and an abundance of RGB LED lights. It can function as an interactive and engaging family restaurant. And when the sun goes down, it transforms into a cozy and trendy lounge. With an additional space for a DJ and a dance floor, Moebius has the ability to host full-blown parties on weekends now.
The menu at Moebius features an array of delicious contemporary dishes from around the world to a point that it is fills a blank spot on the culinary map in the area. The beverage and cocktail menus are extensive, catering to all tastes and preferences. With this new concept in place, Moebius is well-positioned to stand out from other restaurants in the area and attract a wider clientele. By creating a multi-functional space that can cater to different demographics at different times of the day, Moebius has become a popular destination for friends, families and party-goers alike. The future looks bright for Moebius, and we’re excited to see it flourish in the local community.
